On this page I’ll cover preparing for the self-publishing process. We start with a phone call or even a text message and follow that with a consultation to make certain we can work together to publish your book. There is no cost involved at this point.
As with most things, if we wish to move on, cost is a factor so let’s begin with pricing.
Pricing
My complete publishing service that takes your book from edited manuscript to worldwide distribution is only $1,297.00 plus Texas Sales Tax. This includes an eBook version and a paperback. If you also wish to have a hardcover version, there is an additional $100 plus tax fee.
Most authors want to move forward with a paperback version even though I encourage beginning with an eBook version. I enjoy starting with the eBook version because the cost is lower initially. This is helpful if you want to determine the salability of your book before making a significant investment.
I have a special eBook only package for just $397.00. This saves you $900.00 when getting started. If you decide to proceed with the paperback of the same book within 90 days, I’ll give you full credit for your eBook investment, making it only $900.00 to proceed with the paperback and $1000.00 with the paperback and hardcover.
Why Are You Writing and Publishing?
This may sound silly, but it is important to decide why you are writing and publishing your book. I know that all the books I’ve written have been for making money, but that isn’t everyone’s reason. Recently, one of my clients assured me that his book was a vanity project, and his only interest was to distribute copies of his book to friends and family. He didn’t care if he sold a single book.
When your aim is not financial, you can deal with the publishing process entirely differently. He is not the only client I’ve had with that goal, but most of my clients are writing and publishing to sell books and make money.
After our first consultation we will know the reason that you have written and wish to publish your book. That will help with all future decisions.
